The KS1 is just an all around good template, and works perfectly to balance out the longer rail line of the Boss Up. Michel has been riding the 6’10”. For me, 40.8L on the 6’8” is 13 more liters of volume than my shortboard. The KS1 is an all around template that was designed to suit a wide variety of conditions. The template has a lot of pivot for a neutral template, and when combined with the long rail line on the Boss Up, you want fins that can pivot immediately like the KS1. Any single surfer can ride the Boss Up in a variety of sizes.
