The classic DTL fish has been a rite of passage for any local surfer over the years. We launched our first fish hybrid in the early 90’s and have been tweaking and refining it ever since. This season we have been working closely with Matt Barrow and the results have been outstanding. Not only do they pick up waves even easier than ever before, they absolutely fly as well!
The Tech
- Featuring a full plan shape with plenty of width through the front of the board to maintain an easy paddle and wave catching ability.
- Clean curves leading to a pulled in swallow tail, giving two different release points allowing for smooth rail to rail transitions and manoeuvrability in the pocket.
- Fairly low rocker for easy paddling and speed generation, but with a slight flip in the nose and tail, providing more control and allowing for a more critical approach in the pocket.
- Single concave into a spiral vee, channelling water through the fins resulting on lift, speed and more thrust through turns.
