Head-shaper Al Merrick is a true legend of the shaping world and still hands-on 44 years after founding the company. His pursuit of perfection has attracted surfing's greatest athletes time and again, with Channel Islands being the manufacturer of choice for a bonkers number of world champions, most notably 11-time Men's ASP WCT winner Kelly Slater.
